Baby toucan and turtle friends are ready to entertain!

Folds compactly to go wherever you do!
Animal Friends Keep Your Baby Entertained
Whether your baby is in a playful mood or ready for rest and relaxation, she's sure to love swinging with her animal friends. A hanging toucan and turtle are ready to take your baby for a delightful, gentle swing in a generous bucket seat that nestles her in comfort. As she swings, your baby will enjoy the sweet melodies of seven songs, the variation of five swing speeds, and the softness of the padded lion seat cover. And a secure three-point restraint system keeps her in the proper, safe position throughout.

Designed to Promote Comfort and Security for Your Baby
This swing can help soothe your baby with its rhythmic back-and-forth motion. This movement simulates a parent's comfortable rocking motion and is meant to calm your baby and encourage relaxation, making this swing ideal for preparing your child for sleep.

A Variety of Features Stimulate Your Baby's Senses
The Take-Along Swing also encourages healthy sensory development. First, the variety of different music selections stimulates your baby's auditory skills, just as the brightly colored animal friends provide visual stimulation. As your baby reaches for the turtle and toucan, he also improves his hand-eye coordination, and discovers the pleasure of physical movement.

Compact and Portable Enough to Go Anywhere
This swing is unique in that it's designed to be ultra-portable, and it's easy to pack and carry. It conveniently folds for travel, or parents can use the swing's carry handles on each side to move it from room to room without straining. Additionally, the Take-Along Swing is designed to give you easy access to your baby--simply lift up the removable toy bar and your baby is within reach.

Safety and Developmental Guidelines
This swing can safely hold a child from birth up to 25 pounds and is meant for use until your child becomes active and can climb out of the seat. It measures 25 x 28 x 27 inches (WxHxD) and includes a handy volume control.

"Good, not great" 2010-04-08
By Optimist (NJ, USA)
We got this for our young baby and he was immediately taken with the bright colors and the cute hanging toys! A real delight to watch him enjoy it. However a swing/bouncer is only going to be used for a few months and I feel this is a lot to spend on a short-lived product. Once baby starts to sit up straight he will not enjoy the recline position at all. Other than that, the speeds are way too fast for a young baby and the music is so-so. But nowadays almost every contraption comes with its own music. Bottomline, we went for the bright look and weren't disappointed. But if there was a less expensive one, no harm going with that. The swing is lightweight though and we used the portable feature to carry it between the floors of our home. It also fit nicely in his crib, and we placed it there when he was a young infant.

"Take along, no. Cute swing, yes." 2010-03-27

I had a portable swing a few years ago and I loved it. You could fold it up and take it with you everywhere. This one is not like that. In the picture it shows a mom carrying it with one hand, but of course the view is one in which it appears to fold up. It does not.

"Nice compact swing! (And the speed control DOES work.)" 2010-03-24
By Sanford D. Larsen
A lot of people mention that the speed control on this swing doesn't work right, or that the swing is too fast. The reason for these problems is that people don't finish reading the instructions. And for good reason... after finishing assembly according to the instructions, it appears that you have reached the end of the instructions. But if you turn the page, you will find just a little bit more -- and that little bit more is most useful!

First, according to the instructions, the speed control won't work properly if there is no baby in the swing. That's easy enough to fix. Second, the swing speed will be too fast for small babies (less than 9 lbs). The instructions say to drape a blanket over the back of the chair to slow the swing down. But I've found the best way is to let the back of the chair hit or rub against something soft, like the sofa. You can slow it down to any speed you want that way. After doing this for a couple of weeks, our baby has grown almost to the point where we don't need to do this anymore.

Having clarified those issues, I must say that I love this swing. It's the right size for our small livingroom, and the right price for our budget. The batteries are still going strong after more than two weeks of daily use. And, while our little girl doesn't particularly like the swing, it usuallly puts her to sleep before she has time to complain much! Maybe she'll like it when she's older. But for now her parents really like it!

The speed control is a bit goofy, and there are only two volume levels for the music, which automatically turns off after a fixed period of time. But given how much we love the swing, I'm still gonna give it five stars.

"Awesome swing!" 2010-03-19
By Dana & Joseph
Our 3 week old daughter LOVES this swing. we put her in it and within 5 minutes shes sound asleep. its easy to carry around the house. the only things i dont like about it is that its kinda fast even on the low setting and the music doesnt last for very long. BUT, it keeps her asleep so its worth it

"5 speed swing...not really" 2010-02-25
By S. Kioski (Pensacola, FL United States)
The swing speed on this item does not vary, at least not by any perceivable amount.

It is lightweight and that makes it easier to move around the house wherever it's needed, but it doesn't fold up into what I would call "easily portable" size. Overall I don't feel it was worth the 60 dollars I paid, but it does keep my twins entertained when they aren't desperately craving parental attention.
